Petty Cash

A small cash float for minor purchases, tracked with receipts and topped up as it's spent.

Petty cash is a small physical float kept for minor purchases — parking, milk for the office, small emergencies — where card payment is impractical.

The discipline: every spend gets a receipt in the tin, and the receipts plus remaining cash always equal the float. Reconciled when topped up, petty cash stays a convenience instead of a leak.
