Pro Forma Invoice

A preliminary invoice-shaped document for approvals or customs — not a demand for payment or a tax invoice.

A pro forma invoice previews a sale: it looks like an invoice but precedes supply, used for buyer approvals, prepayment requests, or customs declarations.

It is not a tax invoice and creates no receivable in the books — once the sale proceeds, a real invoice replaces it.
